Jazan to start steel mill production in Q3 2011

MMC aborts harbour construction tender
MMC Corp Bhd, which jointly manages Saudi Arabia’s Jazan Economic City (JEC), has aborted the tender for harbour construction for the Jazan Oil Refinery project, in view of an impending change in location for the refinery. The port location will likewise be changed accordingly.
Jazan Harbor construction tender aborted – MMC
DJ quoted Malaysia’s MMC Corporation as saying that a harbor construction tender for Saudi Arabia’s Jazan Economic City has been aborted following an impending change to the location of the Jazan Oil Refinery.
Jazan Economic City port tender cancelled
The tender process for the construction of the harbour in Jazan Economic City in Saudi Arabia has been terminated on the back of a change in plans for the Jazan oil refinery, it has been announced. Two-thirds of the project will be devoted to heavy-industry projects and secondary processing industries.
